500 Series Card Personalization System

The DataCard® 500 Series is a new generation of mid-range central card issuance systems. With either the 503 or 504 Series System, you get a fully-configurable solution that's designed especially for financial card issuance. You simply select a configuration that fits your volume needs and budget parameters. And because both the 503 and 504 are based on Datacard's proven technology, you'll get the performance and reliability you need to sustain cost savings.

Options

The 500 Series offers a wide range of personalization features, including:

• Smart card initialization and personalization
• Magnetic stripe encoding
• Embossing and indent printing
• Color topping
• UltraGrafix® thermal printing for text, logos, graphics, and bar codes.

In addition, a speed of 500 cards per hour will keep your issuance operation running smoothly.

The basic Datacard 503 Series System is ideal for personalizing credit cards, ATM cards, and debit cards. You simply choose embossing, indent printing, magnetic stripe encoding or color topping. Or select the 503EX and get the additional option to add smart card initialization and personalization, and graphic printing. If you need even more options, the Datacard 504 Series System lets you choose up to four personalization features.

The new mid-range Datacard® PrimaForm™ card delivery system can turn your 500 Series into a complete in-line card issuance system that personalizes cards, prints card carriers, forms and inserts and places the package into an envelope - all in a single pass operation. Artista Custom Card Printer

The Datacard® Artista™ custom card printer breaks through those barriers and creates a new world of card printing possibilities. This new, digital system lets you print highly personalized, full-color cards instantly. Any image you can see, create or imagine-along with individual cardholder information-can be printed on demand.

The possibilities for card marketers-and service bureaus-are tremendous. For example, credit card issuers can give cardholders the option of printing their favorite photos on their cards, instead of standard background designs. This new technology also enables retailers to change card designs to coincide with sales or seasonal promotions.

Artista also lets you create entirely new products-such as gift cards or room keys.

The Artista printer gives you the power to meet consumer demand for customized products and services. The system digitally merges photos, artwork, fixed data and variable data-then quickly prints the entire surface of a card.

This process makes it equally cost-effective to manage print runs of all quantities-from 1 to 1,000. Card issuers who capitalize on these capabilities will discover powerful, new ways to attract and retain customers.

Artista uses five printheads and five color ribbons to print a composite card image on a clear, intermediate transfer medium. The high-resolution, full-color image is then transferred from the transfer material to a plastic card using pressure and heat. The used transfer medium is then discarded as the next card prints. The standard operating speed for Artista is 1,000 cards per hour.

The Datacard® UltraGrafix® 800 printing system makes it easy and affordable to issue personalized plastic cards to employees, customers, members, students or any other group that enters your facilities or uses your services.

This reliable, desktop system personalizes up to 1,000 cards per hour. Cards may include your choice of monochrome photos, logos, text, magnetic stripes, bar codes, smart card chips and more. Print colors include black, blue, red, green, orange, silver, gold, white, burgundy, teal, purple, warm-red and scratch-off silver.
